FELS has received unconfirmed reports of Cal/OSHA enforcement at dairy operations in Northern California. It is unknown at this time what the focus of this enforcement might be.

At a minimum all agricultural employers should have Employment Posters and Notices in areas of the worksite readily accessible to employees and a FELS HR compliance manual (see the FELS store for more products; we offer FELS Newsletter subscribers a 20% on FELS merchandise). 

Continuing concern about avian flu indicates dairy employers should consider implementation of aerosol transmissible disease safety plans for employees working around dairy cattle (see Avian Influenza (H5N1) News at FELS’ website for more information).
